JONESVILLE, S.C. -- Union County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found in a home in Jonesville.
Deputies were called to the home Monday night by a neighbor who noticed the home’s front door had been open all day.
Sheriff David Taylor says the bodies of 59-year-old Charles Parker and 51-year-old Gretchen Parker were found on separate couches in the living room. He says there were wounds on both victims. The relationship between the victims was not released.
Taylor says the first deputy to arrive at the home found seven dogs inside. Animal control officers were called because deputies didn’t want the animals to disrupt the crime scene.
The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting in the investigation.
