A subtle pleasure enjoyed by many house holders remains, simply, the expectation of arriving home after a long day at the office or exhausting trip.
Just thinking about opening the door, loosening your shirt and stretching out on the couch – to the “sounds” of silence – can represent the high-water mark of some days.
Home renters and owners alike can relish such moments. And if the residence happens to stand in a particularly peaceful locale, that’s all the better.
To be sure, there’s no telling how many homes fit the description in the Charleston area. But 102 Setters Place, a comfortable Goose Creek locale, would land on the short list.
According to Kim Pearson, the house benefits from its setting on “a quiet cul-de-sac in a nice Crowfield Plantation neighborhood.” The home sports a two-car attached garage, front porch, patio and “well shaded” fenced-in backyard, says Pearson, an agent with Brand Name Real Estate in Charleston who is handling the rental. She says the property, available now, can be leased at the reduced rate of $1,350 a month.
Complementing its peaceful setting, the home displays another attraction: A recent facelift. The large renovated one-story house showcases three bedrooms, two full baths and a finished room over the garage that can be converted to a bedroom. There’s new carpet and freshly applied paint in all the rooms.
Pearson touts additional attractions:
• A spacious living room with vaulted ceiling and brick fireplace.
• Hardwood floors in the dining room and separate foyer.
• New tile floors and light fixtures in the eat-in kitchen and bathrooms.
• High ceiling and large walk-in closet in the master bedroom.
• A “huge” FROG sporting an ample air conditioning system, new carpet and new ceiling fan and light.
The house is “like new,” she says.
The home for rent is on the south side of Crowfield Plantation. Heading north and west, take Interstate 26 to exit 209A, which is U.S. Highway 52. Continue on Highway 52 into Goose Creek. Steer left on U.S. Highway 176 (St. James Avenue). Go about two miles and make a left on Crowfield Boulevard. Continue a half-mile and turn left on Hunters Lane. Steer left on Sully Street, then right on Beringer Drive. Make a left on Setters Place. Ahead is 102 Setters Place.
