The search for a bomb reported at a Mount Pleasant hotel turned up empty this morning, police said.
An unidentified caller said that a bomb was hidden in the Holiday Inn Express at 350 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., about 4:15 a.m, police Sgt. Chris Helms said.
A night clerk at the hotel pulled a fire alarm and the building was evacuated, Helms said.
Authorities searched the hotel but did not find anything. The hotel’s guests were allowed to return to their rooms about 5 a.m., Helms said.
