Anna Benson, the estranged wife of former Clemson and major league pitcher Kris Benson, has been jailed in suburban Atlanta after arming herself with a gun and charging into a home they used to share. Benson, 37, is a former model, exotic dancer and “Baseball Wives” reality TV star with a history of controversial statements and stunts.

This time she is held without bond in Smyrna, Ga., on assault and weapons charges. Anna Benson allegedly confronted Kris Benson – out of baseball since 2010 – while carrying a handgun and wearing a bullet-proof vest, according to an arrest report.

Kris Benson helped Clemson reach the 1995 and 1996 College World Series and was named Baseball America's College Player of the Year in 1996. He was the first overall pick in the 1996 draft, going to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Benson from 1999-2010 also pitched for the Mets, Orioles, Rangers and Diamondbacks.

The couple married in 1999 and have two children, plus a child from a previous Anna Benson relationship.
