South Carolina's comeback victory over Michigan in the Outback Bowl made the cut for the Top 5 games of the 2012 college football season for an ESPN SportsNation poll that will determine the ranking order. The game in Tampa featured a thunderous tackle by Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney that knocked Michigan running back Vincent Smith's helmet into orbit.
The other Top 5 games:
Texas A&M vs. Alabama
Alabama vs. LSU
Stanford vs. Oregon
Alabama vs. Georgia: SEC Championship
ESPN's mega contract with the SEC probably accounts for a tilt toward the conference in these rankings.

Clemson's comeback victory over LSU in the Chick-fil-A Bowl is No. 6 in a ranking of the 25 best games of 2012, with ESPN analyst Brad Edwards determining Nos. 6 to 25. ESPNU will rebroadcast all 25 games starting July 17.
