AUGUSTA — The South Atlantic League doubleheader scheduled between the Charleston RiverDogs and the Augusta GreenJackets on Sunday afternoon was suspended by rain at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
Augusta was leading, 2-0, with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning of the first game when the rain came.
The suspended game will resume on Aug. 1, starting at 5:35 p.m. Following the conclusion of the suspended game, Charleston and Augusta will then play another seven-inning game.
The RiverDogs (8-7, 47-36 overall) now head back to Riley Park for a seven-game homestand. Charleston has an off day Monday before opening its three-game series against the Greenville Drive on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
