Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday arrested two people after a meth lab was found in a Colleton County home.
Stacy Lynn Gibson, 35 of Round O, and Frank Smith, Jr., 44 of Ridgeville, were both charged with possessing and distributing methamphetamine, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ted Stanfield said.
Colleton County’s Special Response and SWAT teams on Saturday searched Gibson’s home at 3717 Cannon Road in the Round O community, Stanfield said.
Law enforcement found evidence of methamphetamine, two devices used to make the drug, various chemicals and lab equipment at the home, Stanfield said.
Fire and rescue crews decontaminated Gibson and Smith before they were taken to the Colleton County jail.
