A casting call for a James Franco movie that was set for Sunday has been canceled, leaving the movie’s future in doubt.
Phil Newsome of Altair Casting and Production Services LLC in Winston-Salem said Thursday that there was no explanation for why the production of “The Garden of Last Days” was canceled.
Altair had set an open casting call Sunday for the film, which was scheduled to be shot in the Winston-Salem area starting July 10.
