ROCK HILL — A 64-year-old Rock Hill mother says her son kidnapped her, demanding she give him $20 to pay for a drug debt.
Police said 34-year-old Justin Peake remains in jail after he was arrested Thursday and charged with kidnapping.
Peake’s mother, Betsey Peake, told The Herald of Rock Hill that when her son picked her up from work earlier this month, he told he she couldn’t get out of the car unless she gave him $20. Betsey Peake said she had no money and started screaming for help. She says her son wouldn’t let her go for two hours.
Peake says her son has been addicted to heroin for almost two decades. She says he needs help and hopes this latest arrest sets him straight.
