Book signing at JCC
Judy Goldman, author of the acclaimed memoir “Losing My Sister,” will appear in Charleston for a meet-and-greet and book signing at 4 p.m. today at the Jewish Community Center, 1645 Raoul Wallenberg Blvd.
The event is free and open to the public.
Goldman will discuss her acclaimed book and its relation to her poetry, other novels and her creative process.
Copies will be available for purchase at the author event.
Book launch at museum
The Old Slave Mart Museum will host the book launch for “America’s Longest Siege: Charleston, Slavery, and the Slow March toward Civil War” by Joe Kelly of the College of Charleston.
Kelly will give a lecture, followed by a book signing at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the museum, 6 Chalmers St. Tickets for the event are $30, and each ticket includes a hardback copy of the book. Space is limited to 30 spots. Contact Michael Coker at firstname.lastname@example.org or 727-2165.
