Clemson will host Georgia State in the 2014 football season, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution report Wednesday.
This addition would fill out the Tigers’ 2014 non-conference schedule. Clemson already is slated to play at Georgia in the Aug. 30 opener, and host Coastal Carolina on Sept. 6 and South Carolina on Nov. 29.
Georgia State did not participate in football until 2010, and holds a 10-23 record at the Football Championship Series level, including 1-10 in 2012. The Panthers will join the Sun Belt Conference on July 1 and become eligible for FBS postseason in 2014.
