LEXINGTON, S.C. — The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a child was killed when a sport-utility vehicle flipped on Interstate 20, ejecting several passengers.

Troopers say the westbound SUV was full of passengers on Saturday when it blew a tire, swerved and flipped over several times in Lexington County.

Highway Patrol says four passengers were ejected from the vehicle. The driver and five passengers were taken to the hospital.

Lexington County’s coroner has not yet released the child’s name.
