The twin sons of former Clemson star linebacker Jeff Davis, LB JD Davis and LB Judah Davis of Daniel committed to the Tigers on Friday at the conclusion of camp.
However, it will be awhile before the two are in a Tigers uniform. Their plan is to graduate from Daniel in December and enroll at Tri-County Technical College in January. There they will take classes in a bridge program which allows a student to get credits toward a Clemson degree as long as he meets the GPA requirement.
The pair plan to enroll on scholarship at Clemson in January of 2015. The twins are 6-2, 215 and are the first pledges for Clemson’s 2015 class.
Friday’s second day of fishing in the Bohicket Marina Invitational Billfish Tournament was canceled because of small craft warnings prompted by Tropical Storm Andrea.
Today is the final day of the tournament, the second event in the 2013 South Carolina Governor’s Cup Billfishing Series. Eighteen boats are participating, with the weigh-in scheduled from 5-8 p.m.
The boat Showtime leads the event with 1,400 points after releasing two blue marlin and a sailfish on Thursday.
