The man suspected of killing three South Carolina women, including a store clerk from Adams Run, appeared before a bond court judge this morning in Clarendon County.
Jeffrey Eady, 30, of New Zion was arrested in Florida over the weekend and is currently detained in Clarendon County, where he's accused in the deaths of two women.
Clarendon County Sheriff Randy Garrett said a magistrate judge set bail for credit card fraud charges against Eady, but no bail was set for the murder charges.
Only a circuit court judge can set bail on murder, which Garrett expects will happen next week. It remains unclear as to where Eady will be prosecuted for the three murder charges against him. Garrett said one location will likely be chosen where all three will be prosecuted. The solicitor's offices will determine that later, he said.
Sadie Brown, 77, of New Zion was found dead in the Clarendon County forest on Sunday. Brown had been reported missing on Thursday. She lived near Eady.
He's also accused of killing Maybell White, 65, at a recycling business in Clarendon County and Crystal Johnson, 37, of Adams Run at the D&V Convenience store on Savannah Highway on Thursday. He then fled to Florida where he was arrested in Mexico Beach on Saturday.
