Charleston County Council is expected Tuesday to approve jumpstarting four road projects.
The group’s Finance Committee approved the plan Thursday.
The county would use bond money already available for road projects and pay it back with income from the half-cent sales tax over the next several years.
The projects are: widening the Isle of Palms Connector, adding a bike line to one of the bridges over the Ashley, River, improvements to the intersection of S.C. highways 61 and 7 in West Ashley, and improvements to the intersection of the James Island Connector and Calhoun Street.
