MYRTLE BEACH — At least six people have died in motorcycle crashes in the past four days along the Grand Strand.
The latest deaths happened early Sunday in Myrtle Beach. Police say two people on a motorcycle died after their bike ran into the side of an SUV that turned in front of them.
On Saturday, an 81-year-old man driving a motorcycle died when his bike ran into the back of a van that slowed in traffic on state Highway 22. The condition of the 80-year-old passenger on the motorcycle was not known.
This weekend is the Atlantic Beach Bikefest. It is the second major motorcycle rally on the Grand Strand this month.
