Summerville police are investigating a home invasion that sent one person to the hospital with a gunshot wound on Thursday.
James Lamont Singleton, 18, of Lincolnville, is charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of attempted murder, kidnapping and possession of a firearm during a violent crime, Summerville police Capt. Jon Rogers said.
According to police, Singleton invaded a home on Pintail Drive in a burglary about 1:45 a.m. and the home’s owner was shot in the process.
The wounded person was transported to a local hospital for treatment, Rogers said.
