Anyone in town hungry for a dose of art is sure to be satisfied by something on tap from Spoleto Festival USA and its municipal counterpart, Piccolo Spoleto Festival, both set to begin Friday.
Indeed, one dose might not be enough. It’s easy to get addicted to this stuff. World-class dance, music and theater are hard to resist. And between the two concurrent festivals, there is (forgive the pat phrase) something for everybody.
As usual, The Post and Courier will provide extensive coverage in print and online at postandcourier.com/spoleto. Every day, you will find features stories, reviews, Q&As, videos, photo galleries and recommendations from our contributors. A stand-alone section will appear on Thursday, along with Charleston Scene. Our Spoleto web pages will be especially robust, featuring lots of multimedia and other content, including many web-exclusive stories and reviews.
And for the duration of the festivals, The Post and Courier will provide free access to this web content, so check in often and let us know what you think by posting comments beneath the stories.
For Spoleto Festival information and tickets, go to spoletousa.org. For Piccolo Spoleto information and tickets, visit piccolospoleto.com. Tickets for both festivals also are sold at the Charleston Visitor Center, 375 Meeting St.
