Newly sworn-in Rep. Mark Sanford and Gov. Nikki Haley plan separate stops in the Lowcountry Monday.
Sanford will meet with the State Ports Authority at 10 a.m. Monday. Deepening Charleston’s Harbor loomed as one of the biggest local issues in the special 1st Congressional District election that Sanford won this month.
At noon Sanford will hold neighborhood office hours in Mount Pleasant, at the Walmart at 1481 North Highway 17.
Haley also plans to visit here Monday. She is scheduled to begin the day with a 10 a.m. appearance at Sanders Clyde Elementary School in downtown Charleston.
At noon she is scheduled to speak before the East Cooper Republican Club, which is meeting at the Holiday Inn Hotel, 250 Johnny Dodds Blvd.
