Charleston police on Monday arrested a man accused of breaking into three cars on Johns Island.
Eddie Thomas, 27 of Sweetleaf Lane, is charged with three counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, police spokesman Charles Francis. Thomas is on probation for a narcotic charge, Francis said.
The break-ins happened on Sweetleaf Lane and Fetterbush Lane between April 7 and Thursday, according to police. All three vehicles were left unlocked, Francis said.
Someone broke into a vehicle parked on Sweetleaf Lane on April 7 and stole money, a canvas tote bag, a purse, a cell phone pouch and two flashlights, Francis said.
Someone broke into a vehicle on Fetterbush Lane three days later and stole several credit cards and an Iphone charger, he said.
On Thursday, someone broke into a vehicle on Sweetleaf Lane and stole money and credit cards, Francis said.
Thomas is being held at the Charleston County jail.
