North Charleston police are searching for a suspect in a drive-by shooting that happened on Dorchester Road Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to Dorchester Road at the Woodlawn Avenue intersection shortly before 4 a.m. concerning shots fired, an incident report states.

Investigators found four shell casings in the middle of the road, police said.

A clerk at a nearby Citgo gas station told police that she heard about three gun shots as two vehicles drove by the store. She wasn’t sure of either vehicle’s make or model, according to the report.
