The man who died in a backhoe accident in North Charleston Saturday morning was Kenneth Drayton, 53, of Hollywood.
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office released his identity Sunday.
Drayton was operating a backhoe at 1990 Harley St. when he fell into the hole and dirt fell on him, according to North Charleston police. He was discovered about 10 a.m. when a co-worker noticed he was missing, started looking for him and found him covered with dirt.
