Report: Charleston area home sales continue to grow
Home sales in the Charleston metro area have been rising so far this year, and April was no exception, according to a report released today.
The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors reported that 3,472 homes have sold in the tri-county region through April, up 18 percent from the same period in 2012. The area’s median price also ticked up to $191,275, officials said.
The local housing market is getting help from low mortgage rates and lower home prices compared with past years, though both are edging higher.
