Berkeley County Mosquito Abatement has started spraying in response to large mosquito hatch-offs generated by above-average rainfall this year and are making the following recommendations:
Horse owners should have their horses vaccinated against Eastern Equine Encephalitis. Pet owners should protect their dogs and cats from heartworms.
Beekeepers, cricket farmers, and all others with questions or concerns regarding mosquito pesticide applications, or to report a mosquito problem, contact the Berkeley County Mosquito Abatement Program at 843-719-4646.
