•Bash is a smash•
If you like bikes, burnouts and babes, then American Biker would be a place to trek to next weekend.
The bike shop in Ladson is hosting its annual festival, the 2013 Spring Bash IV, noon-6 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. As noted by the Roman numerals, this is the fourth year of the show.
According to American Biker, the show is “the” biker event and a “must go” in the Charleston area. The bash, dubbed “bike fun fit for the entire family,” will include live music, food and beverages, bike vendors displaying wares, a swap meet, bikini car wash and pinstripes and air brushing on site.
“Burnouts, beautiful bikes and lovely ladies all mixed into a two day event,” the shop said.
American Biker is off Interstate 26 at exit 203. Turn left onto Treeland Drive. For more information, visit www.americanbiker.biz or call 843-641-0258.
•It’s doggone — catgone? — fun at Mini sale•
There’s big, there’s enormous, and apparently, there’s “ginormous.”
That’s the title of a yard sale of sorts planned at Mini of Charleston 7 a.m.-noon today.
Proceeds of the Ginormous Mini Community Yard Sale benefits Pet Helpers.
According to organizers, “Clean out your attic, closets and best of all, your garage.” Sale goers can sell or buy stuff during the event at Mini of Charleston, 1518 Savannah Highway.
“Make plans to stop by and find a steal of a deal, or reserve a table to sell your wares for a $25 donation to Pet Helpers,” organizers said.
