Charleston police on Wednesday arrested a second suspect in connection with an armed robbery and burglary that happened last month on Coming Street.
Robert Grant, 22 of Fishburne Street, is charged with three counts of armed robbery, first-degree burglary and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
On March 23, two men armed with a pistol entered an apartment and robbed its residents of their cell phones and video games, Francis said.
A fight ensued between the residents and the robbers, during which the residents received minor injuries, Francis said.
Officers arrested Marquis Grampus, 19 of North Romney Street, the night of the incident and held him on the same charges as Grant, Francis said.
Both Grant and Grampus were held at the Charleston County jail, Francis said. The investigation is ongoing, he said.
