Wando captured its second consecutive NIKE Palmetto Cup Championship with a 3-0 victory against host Brookland-Cayce in the Championship match Saturday The Cage in Cayce, and used its performance to earn a national ranking.

Erik Clark, the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and a College of Charleston signee, tallied a brace and an assist in the Warriors’ win which propelled Wando to an unblemished 11-0 record this spring. The Warriors are ranked No. 2 nationally by the Elite Soccer Report and outscored its Palmetto Cup opposition, 14-2, en route to the title.

The Warrios also head up the Class AAAA boys’ state poll.
