The public is invited today to the opening of U.S. Sen. Tim Scott’s local office.
Scott, R-S.C.. will be in North Charleston for the ceremony.
It is being held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the third floor of 2500 City Hall Lane, near Mall Drive and U.S. Interstate 26.
Scott, a former U.S. representative from Charleston, was appointed to the Senate in December by Gov. Nikki Haley. He filled the vacancy left by the surprise resignation of Upstate Republican Jim DeMint, who quit to run the Heritage Foundation.
