Heavy rains early today forced cancellation of play and Austin Langdale of Townville was declared the winner of the Azalea Invitational golf tournament at the Country Club of Charleston.
Rains Saturday delayed play for more than three hours and players were unable to complete their third rounds, so the tournament reverted to the 36-hole standings.
Langdale, who has signed to play with Clemson, finshed with a 7-under-par total of 135, two shots better than Scott Harvey of Greensboro, N.C.
