A suspect in the shooting of a McClellanville man this week surrendered to Charleston County sheriff’s deputies this morning.
Herman Korey White, of 575 Mercantile Road, McClellanville, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during a violent crime in the shooting of Kevin Middleton, deputies said. His bail is set at $300,000.
On Tuesday, the deputies responded to the McClellanville area to investigate a report of a shooting. They were met by the victim and his brother, who stated that Herman White and the victim were involved in an argument, which resulted in the victim being shot, deputies said.
The victim was flown to MUSC by helicopter to be treated for his injuries.
