Sam Doyle and Casey Weid- man have joined Johnson & Lanning CPAs in Mount Pleasant.

Doyle is office manager and marketing coordinator. She has eight years of managerial and marketing experience.

Weidman is a tax accountant. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina Upstate.


Robert “Bobby” H. Warrick has been promoted at CresCom Bank to commercial market executive for the Charleston market.

Previously, he was senior vice president and senior credit executive for the recently merged Community FirstBank and Crescent Bank. He has more than 20 years of banking industry experience. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in business from the College of Charleston.


Phillip McClary has been promoted to project manager at Hightower Construction Co. in Charleston. Previously, he was an assistant project manager. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.


Joshua Shea has been named food and beverage director for the Charleston RiverDogs. He has a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and an associate degree from the Culinary Institute of Charleston. He has 11 years of experience in the food service industry. Previously, he was catering chef at Tidewater Catering.

Executive recruiting

Jay Millen has joined DHR International as managing director of the firm’s Carolinas office in Charleston. He also is global co-leader of DHR’s board and chief executive officer practice. Previously, he was a senior client partner at Korn Ferry International. He has a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and master’s degree in business administration and corporate finance from Xavier University.

Dr. Steve Akman has been named medical director of Roper St. Francis Cancer Care.

Previously, he was a professor of cancer biology at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He has a bachelor’s degree in physics from Cornell University and a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.


Shannon Ilsley has been named director of events at Patrick Properties Hospitality Group. She has been with the company since 2007, most recently as senior event manager. She has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Western Carolina University.


Cathy Merrick, Julie Schuler and Laura Patterson have joined State Farm Agent Tony Pope’s new Mount Pleasant office.

Merrick works in administrative and marketing support. Previously, she was with State Farm in Kentucky.

Schuler is a commercial insurance specialist. She has been with the agency for 17 years and has 30 years of insurance industry experience.

Patterson is marketing coordinator. She has eight years of advertising and marketing experience.


Leslie M. Whitten has been named a partner of Young Clement Rivers LLP, and J. Steven Rodenberg has joined the law firm as special counsel in the Charleston office. They work in the firm’s workers compensation group.

Whitten has a bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Rodenberg has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a law degree from the USC School of Law.


Dave Bunting has joined Mount Pleasant-based Trio Solutions Inc. as a web coordinator. He has more than 11 years of web development and marketing experience. Previously, he was an e-business manager for Peninsula Gaming. He has a bachelor’s degree in drama and speech communications from Clarke College.

Shawn Dolphin, Mason Thurber and Taylor Charpia have joined RE/MAX Pro Realty as sales agents. Dolphin has more than 10 years of real estate sales experience, and she specializes in buyer agency brokerage and relocation.
