About half of the GOP 1st Congressional District candidates are expected to appear at 6 tonight at the College of Charleston.
The event — expected to be one of the last joint forums before the March 19 primary — is free and open to the public. The Sottile Theatre’s doors open at 5 p.m.
The college said those participating in “The Bully Pulpit Series” event include these Republicans: Keith Blandford; Larry Grooms; Jeff King; Tim Larkin; Peter McCoy; Elizabeth Moffly; Shawn Pinkston; Mark Sanford; and Teddy Turner.
Also, Eugene Platt, who won the Green party nomination this weekend, also is scheduled to participate.
Like many other recent forums, the event will let candidates make brief personal remarks and include a moderated question and answer sessions.
On March 19, Republican voters will choose among 16 candidates seeking to fill the seat formerly held by U.S. Tim Scott. Democrats will choose between two candidates: Elizabeth Colbert Busch and Ben Frasier.
