North Florida 9, Charleston Southern 1

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Three errors leading to seven unearned runs were too much to overcome as Charleston Southern dropped its third straight game, falling to North Florida.

The Buccaneers (5-6) tallied 10 hits in the loss. The offense, however, mustered only one run, that coming in the top of the ninth when junior Brian Welch belted his first home run of the season.

Welch finished the day with three hits. Senior leftfielder John Faircloth added two hits.
