Police: Couple turned Hanahan motel room into meth lab
Another motel room turned into a meth lab was discovered last week.
North Charleston police were dispatched to the Siesta Motor Lodge at 4044 Rivers Ave. last Friday morning to check out a report of suspected drug use. Officers found a homemade meth lab in Room 114, according to the incident report. The room contained Coleman fuel, lithium batteries, a gas generator and Ephedrine, according to the report.
Jerome Andrew Brown, 28, of Manchester Road in Summerville and Christina Marie Anderson, 30, of Hawthorne Road in Hanahan were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Brown is being held in the Berkeley County jail on $10,000 bail. Anderson was released on $5,000 bail and mandatory drug-abuse treatment, according to court records.
