Anderson Christian edges James Island Christian in Title game
SUMTER--Anderson Christian beat James Island Christian 47-43 in overtime Saturday to win the state title. It marked the fifth straight year James Island Christian reached the state final.
Jessi Hall hit a pair of free throws and a 12-foot jumper to give Anderson Christian a 44-40 lead with 2:59 remaining. Hall led all scorers with 16 points. Kassidy Moorehouse added 11.
Rebecca Duggan led James Island Christian with 14 points and Lori Guerard added 11.
