North Charleston firefighters put out a fire at Cowboy’s Brazillian Steakhouse on Mall Drive overnight.

A passerby noticed the fire and called 911 about 11:30 p.m., North Charleston Fire Department spokeswoman Bianca Sancic said.

Firefighters at first noticed a small fire outside of the restaurant, then discovered the building was also on fire, Sancic said.

The fire was controlled within 20 minutes, and that its cause is still under investigation, Sancic said.
