Lesley Dills Poetic Visions open at Halsey
The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art offers its latest installation beginning Friday with “Poetic Visions: From ‘Shimmer’ to ‘Sister Gertrude Morgan.’ ”
The show features the work of Brooklyn-based artist Lesley Dill, who combines imagery and language to create a unique, almost metaphysical environment open to interpretation.
An opening reception is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Friday. The artist will lead a gallery walkthrough 2 p.m. Saturday. Both events are free.
The Halsey Institute is located at 161 Calhoun St., at the corner of St. Philip Street.
