Coastal Expeditions offering Naturalist Day Camps on Teacher Workdays
Coastal Expeditions in Mount Pleasant is developing a series of day camps that will be offered on teacher workdays, holidays and spring break.
The camps are for youth ages 8-15 and will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The first camps are Jan. 17, 18 and 21.
Activities are dependent on the weather and include kayak instruction, crabbing, shark tooth hunting, exploring Bull’s Island and birding. Leaders are trained naturalists with certifications in life guarding, first aid and CPR.
Day camp registration is $80 per day. Campers should bring drinking water, bagged lunch and a change of clothes. For more information or to register, call 884-7684 or visit coastal expeditions.com.
