Folly Beach Public Safety is asking for help solving a string of burglaries that hit the community over the holiday months.

The department is investigating about 30 burglaries that happened between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, spokesman Alan Kleinfield said.

“The similarities among the thefts include location and items taken,” Detective Joshua Allen said in a news release.

“All the homes appear to be rental properties throughout the island. It appears the suspect or suspects take electronics such as televisions and other gadgets then exit,” Allen said.

Anyone with information can call Folly Beach Public Safety at 558-7003 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
