Mount Pleasant celebrates Highway 17 completion

    An accident that downed a traffic signal at Bowman Road snarled traffic on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard in Mount Pleasant on Jan. 23, 2009. A three-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 17 was widened to help alleviate traffic woes in such instances.
