CLEMSON - The Tigers (9-1, 6-1 ACC) will not have to look far for motivation the next two weeks.

If Clemson wins out projects the Tigers will play Alabama in the Jan. 2 Sugar Bowl. It would be one of the most intriguing bowl games in Clemson’s program history, and would mark the first time Clemson has played in a BCS bowl in back to back season. Clemson needs to win out to contend for an at-large berth or else it is likely head to the Dec. 31 Chick-fil-A Bowl.

N.C. State gametime announced:

Clemson will host N.C. State at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will be played on ABC or ESPN2.

Polling data:

Clemson remained at No. 8 in the coaches poll and fell to No. 11 in the AP poll despite a 35-point win over Maryland on Saturday.

Texas A & M jumped Clemson in the AP poll after knocking off No. 1 Alabama on the road.
