Loggerhead Apparel’s logo
Loggerhead Apparel’s manufacturing facility is in the Upstate town of Mauldin. This is where workers embroider logos onto its signature polos.
Sara Painter volunteers with various sea turtle groups and donates 10 percent of Loggerhead Apparel’s sales to them. She and husband Zac co-founded the clothing company as a way to keep textile jobs in the state and to benefit sea turtle populations.
Zac and Sara Painter are co-founders of Loggerhead Apparel, whose products are made entirely in the United States. Ten percent of their sales go to sea turtle programs, including several in the Lowcountry.
Sara Painter holds a sea turtle hatchling.
