Berkeley School board elects chairman, approves hires
Berkeley County School Board member Doug Cooper was recently elected to serve a two-year term as chairman.
Kathy Schwalbe, who was chairman, will serve as vice chair, and Shannon Lee is secretary.
The board also approved the following recommendations to fill resigned, interim or retired positions:
Adrian Busch, principal of Cross High (currently principal of Baptist High).
Dr. Donna Huger, director of guidance (currently guidance director at Stratford High).
Amy Kovach, director of community engagement (currently interim director).
Dr. Glenda Levine, associate superintendent of human resources (currently director of secondary schools).
