North Charleston police are investigating a shooting on Interstate 526 that left two men wounded Sunday morning.

Shortly after 2 a.m., officers found a wrecked Toyota Camry on I-526 near Montague Avenue. The driver, Twaun Faber of Goose Creek, was bleeding from his chin and an area near his groin, and he appeared to have a bullet lodged in his cheek, police said.

Faber, 25, told police he and some friends were traveling from one nightclub to another when a light-colored sport utility vehicle pulled up beside them and someone started shooting. Faber was wounded, as was a passenger, Leandra Bright, 26, of North Charleston, police said.

Faber was transported to Medical University Hospital for treatment, while Bright went to Roper Northwoods hospital on his own, police said.

The incident remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
