Kieboom leads Clemson to series win at Georgia Tech
Spencer Kieboom had a career-best five hits and freshman pitcher Daniel Gossett picked up a win relief to lead Clemson to an 11-8 win Sunday at Georgia Tech, giving the Tigers their fifth ACC series win in their last six attempts.
Clemson produced a season-high 18 hits Sunday.
Kieboom was 10-for-15 in the series with seven RBIs, raising his average from .230 to .277.
Clemson took a 7-0 lead into the bottom of the fourth.
The hard-throwing Gossett replaced starter Kevin Pohle who allowed four runs in 3 2/3 innings.
Gossett allowed three hits over 5 1/3 innings. He allowed four runs, walked three and struck out seven.
Jason Stolz hit his fourth home run of the season for Clemson, which improved to 26-19 overall and 14-10 in the ACC. Georgia Tech fell to 26-19 overall and 10-14 in the ACC.
