Citizens asked to turn in old pills Saturday
Residents can help prevent pill abuse by bringing in expired or unwanted prescription drugs to participating local law enforcement offices 10 am.-2 p.m. Saturday.
The service is free and anonymous. Law enforcement agencies are working with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Residents can drop off pills at these locations Saturday:
Charleston County
Charleston Police Department headquarters, 180 Lockwood Drive, downtown.
Mall Park, Columbus and Aiken streets, downtown.
Citadel Mall parking lot near CARTA Park-N-Ride, 2060 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., West Ashley
Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, 3505 Pinehaven Drive, North Charleston.
Air Force Base Exchange, 101 Lawson Drive, Building 1990 (with base access).
Dorchester County
Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, 212 Deming Way in Summerville and 101 Ridge St. in St. George.
Berkeley County
Hanahan Police Department at Hanahan High School, 6015 Murray Drive.
Moncks Corner Police Department, municipal courtroom at 118 Carolina Ave.
Bonneau Police Department, 420 Municipal Lane.
