Berkeley County sheriff’s deputies arrested a St. Stephen area man in connection with a shooting last night that killed a 23-year-old man.

Authorities arrested 30-year-old Franklin Lamont Ham on a murder charge. They did not disclose a motive but did say that Ham lived at the home where the shooting took place.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury identified the victim this morning as 23-year-old David Sepulveda of St. Stephen.

Berkeley County sheriff’s spokesman Dan Moon said investigators received a call at around 7:46 p.m. They found Sepulvedo dead at 146 West Point Drive, though Sepulveda did not live there, authorities said.

Sepulveda died from a gunshot wound to the head.
