Former Clemson golfer Byrd finishes two-over par at Masters
Former Clemson golfer Jonathan Byrd shot a three-over par 75 Sunday at the Masters to finish with a two-over score of 290 for the tournament.
It was Byrdís second best showing at the Masters, having scored a 288 in 2003 - the third best score by a golfer with Clemson ties at the Masters.
Byrd was vying to become the first golfer with Clemson ties to shoot par or better in all four rounds of a major golf tournament.
Byrd was 30th in the field late Sunday afternoon.
Byrd struggled to take advantage of the Par 5s during the tournament. He was the only one of four golfers with Clemson ties to make the cut. Clemson golfer Corbin Mills and former Tigers golfers Lucas Glover and Kyle Stanley each failed to make the cut.
