Braves’ Tim Hudson expected to rehab against RiverDogs on Saturday

Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson is expected to make a rehab appearance for the Rome Braves when they play the Charleston RiverDogs on Saturday at Riley Park.

Hudson, a three-time major league all-star, underwent surgery last November to repair a herniated disk in his lower back.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is ?reporting that he will be ?assigned to the Rome Braves this week for rehabilitation and will likely pitch Saturday. He is expected to be back with the Atlanta club in early May.

The RiverDogs open the ?season at home Thursday against Rome at 7 p.m.
