Charleston.net 28 Day Film Festival Contest
It's simple. Write, shoot, and edit an under seven minute film between Friday, January 30th and Friday, February 27th. That's UNDER seven minutes including credits. To prove you are honest, or at least clever, your film must contain at least one shot of any edition of the Post and Courier printed during the dates of the contest. Be creative, but you must include a readily recognizable edition of the Post and Courier somewhere in the film.
Submit your film to the Post and Courier
at 134 Columbus Street before 5pm on February 27th.
- All submissions must be made on a set top playable DVD in standard definition. No late entries will be accepted.

The winner will be selected by charleston.net users between March 6th to March 27th.The winning entry will be screened at
the Charleston International
Film Festival, and the creator will receive $500.00!!

28-Day Film Contest
OFFICIAL RULES
- It's simple. Write, shoot and edit an under seven minute film between Friday January 30th and Friday February 27th. Film must be under seven minutes including credits.
- To validate that the film is original and shot during the contest period of January 30th and February 27th, the film must contain at least one scene with any edition of The Post and Courier printed during the dates of the contest period. Be creative, but you must include a readily recognizable edition of The Post and Courier somewhere in the film.
- Submit your film to The Post and Courier at 134 Columbus Street before 5:00pm on February 27, 2009. No late entries will be accepted.
- All submissions must be made on a set-top playable DVD in standard definition. No other formats will be accepted.
- The Post and Courier, Charleston.net, the Terrace Theatre and Charleston International Film Festival reserve the right to reject any submission.
- The winning entry will be screened at the Charleston International Film Festival at the Terrace Theatre, April 23-26, 2009.
- Only one entry per person accepted.
- Entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Employees of The Post and Courier, Charleston.net, Evening Post Publishing, Terrace Theatre or Charleston International Film Festival and their immediate family members are not eligible to win. (Immediate family is defined as one's parents, children, siblings, parent-in-law, son-in-law or daughter-in-law.) If the entrant is married, the definitions apply to the spouse's relatives as well as the entrants.
- Entries will be posted on Charleston.net between March 6th and March 27, 2009 for voting by the readers of Charleston.net. The entry with the most votes will be selected as the winning entry. The producer of the winning entry will be notified on April 1, 2009.
- Readers of Charleston.net may only vote for one entry, one time during the voting period. Safeguards and every reasonable effort will be made to prevent multiple voting and vote "stuffing". Any multiple votes will be disqualified.
- The winning entry will receive a $500.00 cash prize.
- The winner will be responsible for any tax liabilities associated with the prize.
- The odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries.
- By entering, the winner agrees to the use of his/her name and photograph in promotional materials for The Post and Courier, Charleston.net, Terrace Theatre and Charleston International Film Festival for a period of up to two-years following the time of entry.
- All federal, state and local regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
- Winner may not transfer or assign any portion of the prize to any other person or entity.
- No substitutions for the prize are available.
- Any entry may be disqualified for failing to follow these rules.
